We regularly review our EDI policies and objectives, always on the understanding that discrimination in any way in the treatment or conduct of anyone is not acceptable.  

In support of our EDI Programme, we:

  • Promote mental health support and wellbeing in our workplace, including providing training for mental health first aiders;
  • Provide and maintain accessible facilities and access for disabled people at our offices;
  • Encourage work experience for those from minority ethnic and/or disadvantaged backgrounds including taking part in the 10000 Black Interns Programme for 2022;
  • Are signatories to the Equal Opportunities in Arbitration (ERA) pledge;
  • Have established a “Leading Ladies” initiative with regular events focused on providing training, wellbeing, and networking opportunities to empower and connect women working in the construction industry.
  • Have created a “Back to Work” policy specifically designed to support those about to go on maternity leave, both before they leave, during their time off and on their return to the office, this includes mentoring by a senior level partner and the provision of external coaching on return. The policy includes support for new fathers including issues relating to paternity and shared parental leave
  • Provide pro bono support to the Chancery Lane Project (a project aligned with and supporting the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals relating to climate action and the UK's emissions reduction target, enshrined in law, to reach net zero by 2050);
  • Are members of the Legal Sustainability Alliance which has been developed to support the move towards a low carbon economy and to run sustainable and efficient businesses;
  • Have taken the Greener Litigation Pledge, an initiative to reduce the environmental impact of dispute resolution.
