Adam Gross Consultant

Background

Adam qualified as a barrister in England and gained a Master’s degree in Shipping Law from the University of London. He obtained experience working for a leading shipping liability insurer and firm of adjusters, before setting up a consultancy practice in 1996, principally handling shipping arbitration disputes.

In addition to his dispute resolution experience, Adam has drafted a wide range of shipping-related agreements. He has acted as general counsel for four years, to the consortium of oil companies supplying aviation fuel at London Heathrow Airport and he continues to advise a leading aviation fuel supplier on all commercial issues.

Dispute resolution experience

As lead lawyer, Adam has handled a vast number of arbitrations with their seat in London including:

  • A seven-vessel sale ship construction dispute for a major offshore vessel operator.
  • Several early redelivery claims for Korean shipowner clients, each with multimillion-dollar values.
  • Complex contamination, speed, performance and demurrage claims.

Other activities

Adam has travelled extensively to handle disputes and asset release and for client relations. Adam has participated in numerous mediations for clients.
