Refreshed brand identity for the firm

Evolution of our brand

At Fenwick Elliott we understand that evolution is good for business. With our recent move to our new office on the 4th floor of Aldwych House, reflecting our readiness and optimism about the future, and our recognition this year as a Tier 1 law firm by the latest edition of The Legal 500 UK, we felt the time was right to refresh our brand.  We started the process with modest steps, but it became clear pretty quickly that we needed to push the brand in a brave new direction. The aim was to differentiate ourselves and elevate our brand in a competitive marketplace and to retain an essence of where we came from, while recognizing we needed a clear, flexible and clutter free identity to reflect our brand values. The refreshed brand is confident, professional, established yet current. 

Logotype

We have created a new freestanding logotype, using a san serif font and replacing the original lowercase typestyle to capital letters gives it authority, clarity and a point of focus. It is also optimised for digital use. Our approach is modern, natural, and set in the world we work in. Our descriptor “The construction & energy law specialists” plays an equally important role, supporting our identity but in a more flexible relationship.

Colour palette

Historically we have been defined by our brand colour purple. Our intention was to re-evaluate its value to our brand. We felt it still had a big part to play. We have enriched it in tone but at the same time given it a more harmonious set of core colours to live with. Equally our new logotype embraces these new core colours.

Imagery

Our new photographic and graphic pattern styles are a direct exploration of abstracted elements within construction, energy and architectural features.

This new thinking and identity now informs all our communication platforms from website, e-mail signatures, printed material to our new office environment and even the way we feel. We now have the freedom to be more bold, impactful and dynamic in all aspects of what we do and we are very pleased to share our new look with you.
