Tackling ‘boilerplate clauses’
Boilerplate clauses can be found in most contracts, but are often overlooked. Partner Jatinder Garcha and Edward Colclough review some of the more common boilerplate provisions including ‘entire agreements’, ‘set-off’, ‘no waiver’, and ‘counterpart clauses’. They also consider what impact these clauses actually have on a party’s contractual rights and aim to give some practical tips and points to watch out for in contract negotiations.
