Nicole Leahy Associate

Nicole has experience in a broad range of complex, high-value commercial and construction disputes including actions before the DIFC, ADGM, English and local onshore courts, as well as the LCIA, ICC and DIAC arbitration centres. She has worked on a variety of cases involving the enforcement of arbitration awards, obtaining and challenging worldwide freezing injunctions, breach of contract, force majeure, delay, non-payment and joint venture agreements. 

Prior to qualification, Nicole developed extensive paralegal experience in both London and Dubai and has worked in dispute resolution/litigation for 15 years.

Examples of Nicole’s expertise include:

  • assisting on a joint venture dispute before the ADGM Court;
  • assisting on an ICC arbitration seated in Paris in respect of a non-payment dispute;
  • assisting on a DIAC arbitration seated in Dubai in respect of a joint venture dispute;
  • assisting on a large-scale ICC arbitration seated in Paris in respect of a feedstock supply agreement;
  • assisting on a dispute before the English Court in respect of a worldwide freezing order and non-payment of goods;
  • assisting and advising on the enforcement of several arbitral awards in the DIFC Court and local onshore courts; and
  • assisting and advising on securing several freezing injunctions in the DIFC and English Court and assisting on the enforcement of the injunctions in the UAE and England.

Nicole’s academic achievements include:

Nicole holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Kent. 

Nicole completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in London.

Nicole qualified in England and Wales in April 2020.
